Terezin Memorial
Terezin's private tour includes numerous powerful stories and historical facts with the details from 16 years of research and interviews of Terezin survivors. It includes the Ghetto Museum, Magdeburg barracks, Columbarium, Morturarry with the Chevra Kadisha place, Hidden synagogue, the attic room of the ghetto, Jewish cemetery, Crematorium, and the Small Fortress Terezin - the Gestapo prison (a real concentration camp).
Duration: 3 hours
2
Magdeburska Kasarna (Magdeburg Barracks)
After watching all the fragments of Nazi propaganda movies brought back to light in the mid-sixties and nineties, you'll discover the forgotten world of Terezin artists. You'll see replicas of the ghetto accommodation or theater sets. At your own pace, you'll have a chance to admire Terezin's drawings, the room dedicated to Jewish writers and musicians.
Duration: 40 minutes
3
Mala Pevnost (Small Fortress)
You will hear stories about the everyday life of the Czech political prisoners in a concentration camp during the Nazi era. Visiting the Small Fortress is a very dramatic and intensive experience. Pavel is describing facts from original memoirs written by eyewitnesses and survivors right after the war. He personally interviewed their family members.
Czech survivors of the Small fort suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder when they should recall memories of extreme torture of the special group of prisoners who were not considered to be human beings. These prisoners had no names and no numbers and usually didn't live longer than five days. They were called Jews!
Duration: 1.5 hours
4
Terezinska puda
Terezin (or "Theresienstadt" in German), less than an hour's drive north of Prague, is a former Habsburg fortress and famous garrison town built between 1780-1790. This town became a holding camp for Jewish Czech families and selected Jewish groups from Germany, Austria, Holland, and Denmark between 1941-1945, and who were later deported to extermination camps in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe.
Duration: 20 minutes
5
The Jewish Cemetery
Part of the Terezin tour is also visiting a Jewish cemetery with the crematorium. Then a beautiful story of the Terezin children's tree is hidden right behind the grey and ugly building.
Duration: 20 minutes
